Found a wrong address, an outdated statement or a calculation problem? Send the exact issue and a source we can check.
Send a correction that can be checked
- Copy the fromOttawa page URL and the specific sentence or record.
- Describe the proposed correction in one or two sentences.
- Link to the operator, authority or original record that supports it.
- If the issue is a business listing, include the exact location so branches are not confused.
What we check
We compare the disputed statement with its source and scope. A current operator page can support a new address or service change. A rating that differs today may instead reflect the age of our clearly dated snapshot. In that case, we should explain the date and arrange a new collection before claiming a refreshed ranking.
A mathematical error needs a corrected calculation and any affected order. A difference of opinion about a visit does not by itself establish an error in the recorded source data.
How changes appear
Substantial factual corrections should carry a note on the affected page explaining what changed. Small spelling or layout fixes do not need one. We do not delete a supported fact or change a formula-based rank in exchange for payment.
A correction request is not a guarantee of a particular outcome or reply time. If evidence is incomplete, we may ask for the missing source before changing the page.
